Conception is a mysterious thing for many couples. When trying to start a family, it may seem that absolutely everything affects a woman's chances of becoming pregnant. It is easy to get lost in the many myths and disinformation that abounds in books and on the internet. Too many people join gyms only to find that running on treadmills is a bit too hamsterish for their taste or lifting weights is simply too dull. These people might be better suited to yoga, dancing or outside activities like hiking or jogging. Which ever you choose, it's important to enjoy what you're doing in order to stay motivated. Ideally, you should work towards increasing your weekly exercise and if you don't enjoy your chosen activity, five times a week will be torturous.

Although pregnancy can hardly be considered an injury as it is one of the most natural things a woman's body can do, the physical stress is enormous. As you prepare to conceive through exercise, be sure to include regular stretching into your program. Infertility And Fitness Routine

A healthy fitness routine can be extremely beneficial to you while you're trying to get pregnant. Not only do you feel better physically, but you can reduce stress and improve your mood. High stress levels can impair your chances of getting pregnant, while being overweight and out of shape can actually affect your ovulation.

However, if you exercise too much, you can also be damaging your fertility. Women who regularly do high impact aerobics or endurance training may have low LH hormone levels, and may not ovulate at all. If your body fat drops too low, your periods will be irregular and ovulation can stop entirely.

For the most part, you can continue to exercise as you always have: if you run and cycle three times a week, there's no reason why you can't continue this routine while you're trying to get pregnant. As long as you aren't over-exercising or losing too much body fat, your chance of conceiving shouldn't be affected. Also, you must make sure that your body doesn't overheat, as this can affect your fertility over a long period of time.

If you're trying to get pregnant and want to determine the best exercise program for you, first talk to a nutritionist. Diet plays a huge role in overall health and fertility. Even small changes in eating habits can increase or decrease fertility by changing the hormone levels in the body. It could be as simple as adding a piece of fruit or reducing the amount of meat that you eat each week.
